Stormy Night!

Thankfully, last night’s tornado watch and thunderstorm left the area undamaged, however Hockessin along with Mill Creek, Cranston Heights and Aetna of Newark responded to the report of a possible structure fire at the new Summit Retirement Home on Limestone Road.  Called in by a passerby who saw possible electrical arching through a window, it was determined that a malfunctioning fire alarm was flashing giving the appearance of a fire.  The building is still under construction and not yet occupied, but it gave Hockessin and the other responding companies a good practice run for any future incidents.
