Saturday, March 10, 2012 Hockessin Fire Company, along with several area companies, assisited Avondale Fire Company on a working house fire at Harrogate Drive in New Garden Township, Pennsylvania, just north of the Delaware/Pennsylvania border.  Firefighter efforts were hampered by heavy smoke along with extension throughout the walls of the home.
